Art Director
A 30-minute theatre play based on a tender yet tragic love story set during the Partition of the subcontinent. The protagonist, a sketch artist, falls in love with a girl he repeatedly draws. As violence erupts in the background, their love is torn apart.
To depict the chaos and bloodshed of Partition, I designed a symbolic moment in which red fabric was thrown from the rooftop of the stage, representing the brutality without graphic violence. The minimal, emotional set revolved around the artist’s sketches and his inner world, grounding the story in both romance and historical pain.
